Arkansas Research Trials, located in North Little Rock, is dedicated to bringing the latest advancements in dermatologic care to our patients through participation in clinical research. We partner with leading pharmaceutical companies to conduct Phase I, II, and III trials, ensuring that every study meets the highest standards of ethics, safety, and scientific rigor.
Our focus is on skin conditions that significantly impact quality of life—including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and skin cancer. By participating in these trials, our patients have the opportunity to access promising new treatments before they are widely available.
Our clinical research team brings unmatched experience to each study. Together, our principal investigator and clinical trials coordinator have more than 50 years of combined expertise in dermatology research, guiding participants through every step of the process with compassion and professionalism.
Clinical trials can be especially valuable for patients whose conditions are severe, treatment-resistant, or not well controlled by current FDA-approved therapies. Many studies include a “crossover” design, meaning that even if a participant initially receives a placebo, they often have the opportunity to transition to the study medication within a short period. Some studies also offer extended safety phases, allowing patients to remain on successful treatments for several years.
There is never a cost to participate. Study medications, procedures, and follow-up visits are covered by the sponsoring pharmaceutical company. In addition, travel expenses to and from our research clinic may be reimbursed, and insurance is not required.
At Arkansas Research Trials, we believe that research is more than science—it’s a pathway to hope, better treatment options, and improved lives for our patients.
